Clubs

 

Student Council (grades 4-8)

Student council members are our governing student body team that assist the principal and faculty with planning and leading activities. Student council is responsible for all student body initiatives including Red Ribbon Week, Thanksgiving Meal, Adopt a Family, Catholic Schools Week, and Victory Day.

Cavalry Scouts (6th-8th)

Led by Mr. Miller the Cavalry Scouts combine discipline, order, and adventure to cultivate a community of ambassadors and explorers for our school. The scouts meet weekly and are an integral part of assisting with campus safety and other matters. These students also explore the outdoors through camping events, fishing, kayaking, and safety trainings.

Victory Bots (All Grades)

Led by Ms. Larios and Ms. Perez, we are excited to kick off our Victory Bots program. This program is a new initiative that we implementing this year in order to bring robotics to OLV. This program will train our junior high students on the basics of robotics. Once they have achieved mastery of those skills, the junior high students will then become leaders in sharing their knowledge with the younger grade levels.

Agape After School Program

Led by students who are members of the Agape Service Organization at Loyola Marymount University students can practice theater, develop graphic design skills, and learn some organized play. Agape members are on campus twice a week after school and enjoy supporting our students.

Slime Club (3rd -5th)

The Slime Club is led by 5th grade students who wanted to share their love of slime with the younger grade levels. The Slime Club meets weekly and students use different ingredients for creating different types of slime.

Newspaper Club (6th – 8th)

Quarterly Times are published and created by students who look to discuss topics such as school history, current events, and student feedback. Students use online docs to create the newspaper, add images, and create a publication made by the students, for the students.
